The Port Townsend Sailing Association (PTSA) mission is to promote sailing on Port Townsend Bay and surrounding waters; to provide opportunities for youth and adults in the greater Port Townsend community to learn and improve sailboat handling; to foster sailboat racing and seamanship; and to preserve and celebrate the legacy of traditional wooden sailboats. Founded in 2006, PTSA builds on a rich heritage that includes the Wooden Boat Foundation, the Quimper Tars, and the Wooden Yacht Racing Association.

Winter Wednesday Programs - Tactics and Strategy - Stig Osterberg

March 11, 2026 at 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Stig Osterberg, Jeff Brantley, and Piper Dunlap will lead an interactive session on tactics and strategy while racing. Using drone footage from actual races on Port Townsend Bay they will highlight specific situations and suggest what you might do and why in order to get around the course as fast as possible.
