Every year during Wooden Boat Fest, the Sailing Team fundraises by selling bouquets of flowers to the boats that attend the festival. This year was no different, and members of the team spent days collecting flowers (which were kindly donated by Leslie Flanagan, Lonely Pines Farm and Fabled Flora), creating bouquets, and taking flower orders. In addition, the team had a booth at the festival, selling raffle tickets. Winners of the raffle received art by sailing team member Hazel Windstorm, a wreath donated by Lonely Pines Farm, or a sail for two on Schooner Martha at Boat Fest’s annual Sunday sail-by. Fall practices started on Wednesday, September 13th, and will continue through the end of October. Our first regatta is in Seattle, on September 30th-October 1st.
