This event is open to all who are interested in racing and sailing on Port Townsend Bay. End of Year Party and Awards

Racing is done for the year but the fun isn't over yet. The end of year party will be held on Thursday November 14th at 6pm at the Cotton building (607 Water Street in PT). It is a potluck. Racing Rules Update with Dick Rose 4/12/2017

Dick Rose Every four years, on New Year’s Day of the year following the Olympic regatta, revised racing rules published by World Sailing take effect. We are very lucky to be able to have Dick Rose here in Port Townsend to offer his insight on the changes in the rules that went into effect in 2017. Dick has raced sailboats since the age of nine. For most of his life he sailed dinghies – in college, frostbiting on Long Island Sound, and then International 14s and Lasers in Seattle. End of Year Party Update

The end of year party is this coming Thursday, November 17th at the Northwest Maritime Center.  It will take place in the classroom and foyer above the boat shop rather than in the main building. We will gather at 6pm and begin the potluck dinner between 6:30 & 7:00. Anyone who would like to participate in the potluck should bring their own plates, silverware etc. along with their main dish and a side or dessert to share.  Beer and wine will be available by donation.

End of Whitecap Series Dock Party Photos

Racing season kickoff party this Thursday

The start of racing kickoff party is at 6:00 pm on Thursday March 31st at the Northwest Maritime Center.  Beer and wine will be available.  Besides having a party we will discuss the various events planned for the year, and race committee chair Dave Burrows will go over the revised sailing instructions for 2016.  This is for skippers and crew as well as any others who would like to learn more about racing and the PTSA.

The NW Maritime Center Navigator Brunch

The Northwest Maritime Center is one of the key partners of the Port Townsend Sailing Association. The Maritime Center promotes racing on the Bay, and now with R2AK out of the Bay racing as well. Port Townsend Yacht Club Opening Day Parade

A note from Galen Peterson, Fleet Capain PTYC: Opening Day Parade will be on May 1st this year. From an email sent by Bertram Levy... Tomorrow Wednesday at 330 the port is going  to hold a moorage rates workshop to discuss paying for the  AB dock replacement  and future projects. It would be in your best interest to be there for the workshop  as it will significantly effect us and our presence will be felt. Dave Thompson has already proposed a 5 % annual increase unrelated to CPI. at an earlier workshop.  The workshops are usually for the commission but there is usually time for public comment.
