The blustery wind from earlier in the day gradually calmed down for a nice race in three to ten knots from the east. The course was city dock-I-tower-bell buoy-M-bell buoy-finish. It was pretty close all the way to the tower with Kuma San rounding first closely followed by Falcon, Corvo, Pacifica, and Cito. Pacifica passed Kuma on the way to the bell buoy but Kuma kept a firm lead on the other t-birds all way to the north mooring buoy at Ft Warden. Then the question was how to stay out of the ebbing current but in the most wind? Corvo got that right, passing Kuma near the bell buoy on the way to the finish. Falcon made up a lot of time by going very close to the beach before making the left turn to the buoy. Pacifica also stayed fairly close to the beach. In the end Pacifica crossed the line first, followed by Corvo, then Kuma, who beat Falcon by a boat length, then Cito.
