Beautiful warm sunny evening with light steady winds but with small pressure and direction changes for those who knew where, or were lucky enough, to find them.
The course was the usual SWGaWF . The use of the offset mark was discontinued for this week to allow some folks to learn how to handle them (if in doubt follow the boat ahead and hope they get it right) and put the correct reader boards (O) aboard the Committee Boat.
At 17:40, when the CB had settled on her anchor to wind and current, the wind was 6 – 7 kts gusts 8, from about 295 deg M. The bearing of the Windward mark from the CB was about 280 deg. The bearing to the pin, about 210 deg favoring the pin by 5 deg.
Right after the first start the wind was 8-10 kts. still from about 295 deg. After the second start the wind was 7-9 kts from 290 deg favoring the pin by a further 5 deg.
Finishes had the first two boats close together and the rest in a bunch well back.
