Sir Issac and Martha Rock in “Rogue the County”

PTSA big boats Martha and Sir Issac participated in the two day "cruise" around the San Juan Islands that substituted for the Round the County race, which had been cancelled. Conditions were sporty and a number of boats dropped out after day one. Sir Issac and Martha persevered and got 6th and 8th respectively. End of Year Statistics for 2020

Dave Burrows, race committee boss, poured through the results of all the PTSA races in 2020 and came up with some interesting statistics. Did you know we ran 49 races? The boat that participated in the most races (48) is ... Falcon, skippered by Roland Nikles, followed by Raven (44), Kuma San (40) and Owl (40). In the PHRF fleet Andiamo Again raced the most (14), followed by Vamoose (8) and Pacifica (7).  The table below shows  the details on all the boats that participated this year. PTSA Halloween Race 2020

Sixteen boats (the most this season) came out for the Halloween race. It was trick & treat, a beautiful sunny afternoon but with very anemic breezes. While the RC was deciding on a course the wind on the dock was Northerly 2 – 2.5 kts. with occasional gusts to 3. The wind shadows indicated similar conditions throughout the bay.
