After last Saturday’s Race was canceled due to high winds we were due for something better. This week the wind at the committee boat while setting the course was 8.59.5 kts. from ~300°M, and after the race the wind was still from the same direction at 8.28.5 kts. The S/F line was set up between “I” and “T” for good windward/leeward legs. A trip from “T” to “B” and back provided some reaching which was complicated by the tide being near max flood. Local knowledge of the counter current location would have been helpful.
Once again the two Thunderbirds which came out chose to race PHRF with everyone else. It is recommended that this continue for the rest of the series to un-complicate series scoring.
In addition to the listed boats, Underdog came out and sailed the course in commendable time but without officially starting or finishing.
