It was another night of interesting wind. Initially blowing more from the south, the breeze died before the start and racing was postponed until it picked up again a half an hour later. But that time it has gone a little more east and a course was set for the tower. It was light and confusing, as the wind, particularly on the right, did not show up on the water. It was smooth as glass but still has reasonable pressure. The boats that went far left and right both made out. The second race was a shorter two lap affair to a windward mark that has been set earlier by the race committee. The breeze was reasonable and there was close racing with some particularly spicy mark roundings.
Blew Bird, with eight crew aboard (including two very small ones), trailed the pack on both races, but seemed to be having the most fun. Their loud cheers when crossing the finish line could be heard all the way across the bay.
