It was a nice day with good consistent wind of about 6 to 12 kts. from the WNW. It was a committee boat start and the course was: S–Is–Bp–Mp-Ts–Ip–F. This course was a bit confusing as it included B (the Pt. Hudson bell buoy) on the outbound leg, but not on the way back. Most boats did go outside of B, but several didn’t. The sailing instructions state that in all PTSA races boats must leave that buoy to shoreward. So, in spite of the inconsistency in the course, the boats that did not round it were disqualified. In the future the race committee will either include B for both legs or leave it off altogether.
It was still a good day of sailing with all nine boats enjoying a competitive jaunt around the bay.
