The wind was around eight knots gusting up to fifteen from the WSW, with no big wind shifts. Nine boats showed up to start the race. It was quite a nice evening, almost warm. The course went from city dock to the I mark, then to the tower and back to the I mark, then out to the red Pt. Hudson buoy, then finish at city dock. The wind was perfect for a nice windward/leeward leg between I and the tower. Pacifica, fourth at the tower, came back strong for the second rounding of I in first, followed by Kuma San, Falcon, and Corvo. And that was the finish order. An unregistered ketch was next, then Varya, Cito, and Murrelet. Final, corrected-time results will be posted as soon as all boats have reported in or the time limit for posting results has passed.
Apparently there is some confusion, particularly for new participants and visitors, regarding recording finish times of Friday races and submitting them for processing.
Boats will record the GPS time that their BOW crosses the Finish line, to the nearest Second. If you have no GPS there are smart phone apps that provide GPS and/or NIST time. Also note the nearest boat ahead of you and the closest boat astern. At the earliest convenience within 36 hours of the finish go to https://ptsail.org/report-results/ and enter the data in the form that opens. This works on cell-phones too.
