If you were on A-dock at around noon on Saturday you would have seen a bunch of TBird sailors scratching their heads wondering if the wind was going to abate. It was blowing in the 20’s, gusting in the 30’s. After waiting around 45 minutes hoping for a lull it was decided to call off the race. The race committee, which was ready to go, deflated the marks and put everything away for next week. In the mean time, two of the big boats, Sir Isaac and Vamoose, went out to practice their heavy weather skills and were spotted zooming around the bay at very high rates of speed.
