The recent rains have brought in salmon to thrash up the gravel stream beds, spawn and die. It’s an amazing sight to see (and hear) and one that is so much a part of living and boating around the Salish Sea. Thanks to Owen for passing on this wonderful shot by Jim Baier at the Jefferson Land Trust’s Illahee property. We’ve recently seen or heard about fish in Chimicum Creek, Snow and Salmon Creek at the foot of Discovery Bay and Johnny-Come-Lately Creek at the foot of Sequim Bay.
