Shipwrights Regatta 2021 Registration

Hi! Thanks for your interest in the Shipwrights Regatta. Registration for the 2022 race is not open until January 26th. This page is for 2021 so please do not try to register here. Thank you and we hope to see you on February 26 for this year’s edition of the race.

A BIG thank you to the Port of Port Townsend and Sea Marine for donating one free haul out each, which you can win! (You must cross the start line to be eligible.)

In consideration of your acceptance of my entry in the 2021 Shipwrights Regatta, I hereby agree to the following conditions of my participation in the regatta and certify that the statements made herein are true and correct. My yacht will be equipped to conform with all USCG safety requirements. I agree to comply with all rules and sailing instructions governing the race. I hereby release and indemnify Port Townsend Sailing Association, their officers, agents, and committee persons, from any and all liability for any injury to myself, my crew, or my yacht, arising out of their conduct of the race, including any injury to others or to property resulting from the race activities. I assume any and all risk of injury for myself or my crew arising out of my participation in the race, failure or breakage of my yacht or any of its equipment, or weather conditions. I assume sole responsibility for the decision to participate in this race or to continue sailing in this race.

I hereby grant the Port Townsend Sailing Association the right and permission to use any photographs of my boat and or crew during the Regatta and associated shore-side events in any medium and for any purpose whatsoever including (but not by way of limitation) illustration, promotion, advertising and trade.

The race committee, at their discretion, may honor you with one of the following awards:

THE HOOK – for the last boat to cross the finish line

THE GOLDEN TRIDENT – for the saltiest boat or crew

DIRECTIONAL HELMET – for a boat that gets lost or misses a buoy

WHACK-O-MATIC – for the best use of misspent energy

VAN HOPE COMMUNITY AWARD – for the most young people, or the youngest person, on a boat

TWISTED BELAYING PIN – for a boat that had problems on the course

GOLDEN OLDIE – for the oldest boat to finish

PEG LEG – for the boat with the oldest average age of crew
