Boat: The Race Committee Boat. (28' flybridge trawler) or The City Dock.
Experience: Any level of experience is fine
Additional Information:

I am the PRO (Principle Race Officer) for PTSA and currently working single handed. The Race Committee is desperately in need of help and backup for on the water running of PTSA, WBF and other races in Port Townsend Bay. This is a great introduction to gain familiarity with the boats and skippers of the club and possibly an easy step to a crew position. All that is needed is a regular and reliable commitment, any necessary training is straightforward. Tasks include monitor wind, set marks, set course, boat check-in, horn and flag signals for starts, watch for over-earlies, monitor progress, record finishes and recover marks.

Boat: Flying Scot one design sloop, 19 ft LOA - recently purchased
Experience: I prefer that you have some racing experience
Additional Information:

There are several upcoming, out-of-town regattas (Squim, Chelan) thru Oct 7 where I would like to have a semi-permanent crew on my competitive boat. There will be several training sessions in the next few weeks. The ideal crew would be experienced, and be around 200+ pounds, or be a lighter weight couple. BTW, I am a very experienced racing sailor who would be happy bringing less experienced crew up to speed on tactics, boat speed, and spinnaker handling. Let's go!

Boat: custom cold molded LS-30 sport boat
Experience: Any level of experience is fine
Additional Information:

Currently living on the Olympic Peninsula in Sequim I have recently purchased an LS30 sport boat that is a speedy thing with a PHRF rating of 93. What am I looking for, crew that will make a commitment to the boat and the other crew members. Crew that want to win but not take it too seriously, this is not a blood sport, knowledgeable race crew and crew that want to learn about racing and build self confidence in their sailing abilities.
Learned to sail on the east coast ( Marblehead, MA ) around age of 10 and have never really stopped except for 5 years of active military service.
I have sailed, competed in so many high level events i.e. the SF Big Boat Series, NOOD regattas, J-24’s, J-35’s North Americans hundreds of PHRF regattas etc. etc. with my own boats and as crew it’s far too much to include here.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
All the best,
Jim
