Ann and John Bailey, sailing double handed, finished first in their class, and fourth overall in the Patos Island Race sponsored by the Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club. Competing in the long course of 67 miles, they actually sailed 90 miles to make that distance, finishing at 2:42am in dense fog. Conditions were challenging with strong currents and very light winds at crucial marks (like rounding Patos Island shown in the photo). Well done Ann and John! For more details see the event website.
