Doug, board member of PTSA, is shown working on the restoration of the 1938 Spidsgatter “Helma”. Robert d’Arcy (Schooner Martha) lead the project. Pete Langley (Port Townsend Foundry), and Ian Weedman (Brion Toss Rigging) are featured as well, both of their businesses having contributed to bringing this beautiful boat back to life. It’s an interesting story of a project that started out being about fixing a few leaks and ended up as an almost total rebuild. Well worth reading.
