Following just two weeks after the Smith Island race, which was canceled due to a gale, the new Pt. Partridge/McCurdy Pt. race had almost ideal conditions. Seven boats came out for a good start with wind from ~145 degM at 10.5-11 kts. (forecast to increase a little) and with half of a strong ebb remaining.
Finishes were fast and remarkably close for a distance race.
