It seemed like it was going to be a drifter, but it ended up blowing five to seven knots, from the ESE. Good enough for Falcon and Kuma San to get to the green buoy by the navy dock and back. It wasn’t exactly a race as both boats practiced tactics and boat handling upwind and spinnaker technique downwind. The wind was perfect for new foredeck crew. Dwight Nicholson was also out in Houat, his beautiful Gaff Rigged Mackinaw. He started with the Tbirds and then sailed his own shorter course. All-in-all a good day for winter sailing.
