The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding is an accredited, non-profit vocational school committed to providing a quality education where students learn confidence in working with their hands through traditional and contemporary wooden boatbuilding. We strive to provide experiential education to teach time-honored skills to new generations of craftspeople, preparing them for real-world employment and job placement in an increasingly digital world. We offer a 12-month AOS and 9-month diploma in one of the three programs we offer. We are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and designated a Veteran Supportive Campus by the Washington State Department of Veteran Affairs. Financial aid/veterans benefits available for those who qualify. We are proud to take on commissions that work well in our teaching curriculum to those interested in having a boat built.
