It’s will be a  fun race, everybody’s welcome, no experience necessary.

This race, started by a bunch of shipwrights in 1991 has become the signature winter sailing event in Port Townsend. The only winter sailing event, really. It’s a fun race, everybody’s welcome, no experience necessary.

All boats are welcome. Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 places in each class and this year we will have an award for overall classic boat winner.     There will be 2 races on Saturday with a triangular course on the Port Townsend Bay. There will be starts for racing, cruising and inshore (smaller) boats. We will also have one-design starts for any classes with three or more competitors (At this point, Thunderbirds.) Saturday night there will be a dinner at our club house in Boat Haven. Sunday is a pursuit style race around the bay and out towards Point Wilson.
