Opening Day was difficult time for boating. The “parade” was thin and the crowds observing were thinner. The later boats sailing into PT from Seattle faced a building flood and dying wind, and were often seen sailing backwards.
The Wooden Boat Fleet, got off to good start but found little wind near the tower and diminished wind for the return to finish. It’s been good to see Cubana out again.
Also participating in both races, without a rating, has been Second Wind. They were 6th in the first race at 13:53:08 and 6th in the second race at 15:38:49.
There is an errant computer setting for this series that will be corrected before the next report. A race is already being dropped, putting Annie Too and Sirocco in a tie, when Annie Too should be ahead at this time.
Hoping everyone is now warm and dry.
