It was an “interesting” race, with massive wind shifts and wind holes. The three boats in the lead on the run in the first lap got a miracle wind that seemed to follow them around the course as others languished in the big holes. There was quite a battle for fifth and sixth as Blew Bird and Falcon came together at the finish line from opposite sides of the course. The night was frustrating for some, and happy for others – in other words, it was a sailboat race.
