Five PT Boats to Compete in the Around the County Race

PTSA boats Sir Isaac, Martha, Pacifica, and Vamoose will race in this weekend’s Around the Country Race. The schooner Wolfhound, from New Zealand but for now sailing out of Port Townsend, will also compete. They will be joining over 100 other boats in this one of the premier races in the Pacific Northwest. The course circumnavigates the San Juan Islands with a stop over on Saturday night in Roche Harbor. Total distance is approximately 76 miles. Most of the boats will have AIS so you can track them on the web with any marine traffic app. Start time is 8:30 am Saturday morning. There are more details on the race web site.
