What can be said about today’s races? If you weren’t there you missed some of the best sailing this season. It was so good we did it twice! It was sunny and warm and the wind blew steadily from 290 deg. M with almost no variation in direction. This made SYGF a good windward/leeward course, but only 3.1 nm. For the first race the wind, in the middle of the bay, was 8 – 9 kts. with gusts to 13 and the first boats completed the course in about 45 min. For the second race the wind strengthened with gusts over 15 kts. and lap time decreased to 40 min.
