With a generally Northerly wind, there was better breeze in the Inlet than on the Bay, so Satch’s new mark near the Marine Science Center was again the “windward” mark with enough wind for the fleet of 8 to go twice around.
Silent Way had some difficulty getting their chute in at the end of the first lap and, unfortunately, crossed the Start – Finish line in the wrong direction to begin their second lap. Â The RC takes no pleasure in DSQ’s, but we had no choice. Â Silent Way’s finish time for the race was 19:24:55.
Overall, a small fleet but a good evening to sail.
